Campground Review - River Bend & Hike to Soda Falls

We enjoyed our trip River Bend this past October yet due to the wet weather, we were unable to get out and explore. Recently, we went back to River Bend and had the chance to get out!

The weather was perfect for walks around the camp, along the trails and exploring locations nearby.

Getting out for a hike was the highlight of our trip. The best part? The trail head to Soda Creek Falls was only 10 miles East from River Bend Campground. Easy to get to! The trail to the waterfall is 1.5 miles ... round trip. It's a quick hike. With that said, it is a steep hike. But, one that is worth it. You want to be sure to hike this trail on a dry day as it can be muddy and slippery after a bit of rain. Once you are on the trail, you quickly leave the world behind you and are surrounded by nature. We were in no rush...as we said, the weather was great and we were the only ones on the trail. Below are several pictures we took along the way.
