Campground Review - Salem RV Resort (Oregon)

We spent our Veterans Day Weekend at the Salem RV Resort (Salem, Oregon). While only a short 45 minutes from home, it was nice to get away for the extended weekend.

As you near the campground, we learned that you have to really keep a sharp eye out for the small (kinda hidden) sign right at the entrance. Once there, the park is easy to navigate. It's well laid out with plenty of space between sites. We upgraded to the Premium site, which has a separate parking spot for your truck or for your tow car if you have a motorhome.

During the time we were there, the park was very quiet, with very minimal road noise. The downside is the park seemed to have a high full-time occupancy level, which unfortunately had many sites with cluttered sites and >1 car. The car situation was of concern when it was time for us to leave. The site across from us left for the day in their truck, however their 2nd car was 30% into the street. We made it out, but it was VERY close. It would have been nice to have parking rules enforced.

At almost $60 per night, the rate was a bit high for the location and amenities. On a positive note though...we had a newspaper delivered to our RV steps each morning...we thought that was a pleasant surprise!

Included below are a few pictures of our site..#129.
